     Henry Witmer was born in 1761.^1,3 He was the son of Christian Witmer.² Henry Witmer married Susanna Eversole on 15 December 1794 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA.^4,3 Henry Witmer died in 1814 at Dover Twp., York Co., PA.^1,3 He left his widow and six children, an estate worth slightly over $1,000, 150 acres in Dover Township, and a woodland tract in Codorus Township. David Witmer (possible the brother of Henry) and Andrew Strayer were named administrators of his estate.⁵ George Leckrone of Dover Township became guardian of Jacob (18 years), Catherine (17 years), and Daniel (14 years). John Bahler of West Manchester Township became guardian of Susanna (12 years), Elizabeth (11 years), and Lydia (6 years).⁶ In 1821 in the Orphan's Court, the following was recorded: Jacob Witmer, the eldest son, had the land appraised for $3,347.43. He took possession of the land and paid shares of $365.72 to his sisters and brother. George Leckrone (mentioned above) took a Dover Township woodland tract of 6+ acres, and Catherine (Witmer) and her husband John Frantz took 135 perches of woodland in Codorus Township.⁷

     Susanna Eversole was born on 2 August 1769.^3,2 She married Henry Witmer, son of Christian Witmer, on 15 December 1794 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA.^1,2 As of before 1797,her married name was Witmer.¹ Susanna Eversole died on 16 December 1845 at Dover, York Co., PA, at age 76.^4,2 She was buried at Neiman's Cemetery, West Manchester, York Co., PA.¹

     Jacob Witmer was born circa 1797.¹ He was the son of Henry Witmer and Susanna Eversole.¹ Jacob Witmer appeared on the census of 1840 at Manor, Lancaster Co., PA, along with Jacob Witmer.²

     Elizabeth Witmer was born circa 1804.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Witmer and Susanna Eversole.¹

     Daniel Witmer was born circa 1801.¹ He was the son of Henry Witmer and Susanna Eversole.¹

     Lydia Witmer was born on 2 July 1808.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Witmer and Susanna Eversole.¹ Lydia Witmer died on 16 January 1866 at age 57.¹ She was buried at Neiman's Cemetery, West Manchester Township, York Co., PA.¹

     Philip Lauer Jr. was the son of Philip Lauer Sr..² Philip Lauer Jr. married Anna (?) before 1786.¹ Philip Lauer Jr. and Jacob Lauer , as administrators for their father's estate, sold 30 acres and 14 perches of his land in Dover Township for 241 pds. The land was originally purchased in May 1792.³ Philip Lauer Jr. was farmer who had a considerable amount of property at Dover Township, PA.⁴ He left a will in February 1810; "being weak of body but of sound mind", he wrote his will leaving his plantation to his son, John. The will also stipulated that John would pay a widow's dower to his mother, Anna, and that she could continue to live in the house and have privileges during her lifetime. His younger sons, Abraham and Philip, were to receive 15 acrew each at 21 years of age, his daughters were to divide 800 pds., and Abraham and Philip were to receive 30 pds. each.⁴ He died in late 1810 or early 1811.⁴

     Her married name was Lauer.¹ Anna (?) married Philip Lauer Jr., son of Philip Lauer Sr., before 1786.¹ Anna (?) died in 1825.² After her death, her estate was administered by Abraham Lauer.²
